Satisfaction, commitment or passion? McMe uses holistic approachThe main focus within HRM these days seems to be very much on talent management and employee commitment. Advocates this new “passionate employee” even put the relationship between satisfaction and performance on the workfloor in doubt.
Professor of organisational psychology Frederik Anseel of the University of Gent does not agree on this trend. At the HRM congress in Gent in February he did stress the fact that hundreds of studies that have been carried out over the past years have proven that there actually is a causal relationship between job satisfaction and performance. Time after time an increase in sales, profits and customer-friendliness were found. He is convinced that a satisfied employee still is a first step in the good direction for every organisation. Therefore, McMe keeps on measuring the more classic dimensions of satisfaction besides the more recent dimensions such as talent management, commitment and passion. This integrated measuring above all offers one the possibility of analysing the underlying relationships between these different dimensions. ABVV measures employee satisfaction for the second time with McMeThe Flemish ABVV for the second time measures its employee satisfaction at the beginning of 2012 in collaboration with Ascento and PPM. This measurement is in continuation of the McMe measurement they had in 2008. The ABVV is a socialistic labor union that counts more or less 1,5 million members. Employer branding and engagement measurement at Janssen employeesPharmaceutical company Janssen uses the McMe Scan to measure the perception of their image and identity of their company in the eyes of their employees in the Benelux region. In addition they will also investigate the employee engagement that is present in relation to this corporate identity. The results of this internal perception measurement will be benchmarked against the perception of the image of the company Janssen at a number of important stakeholders within the socal health care system.
